i have never been to this site before, but i was looking for more information about my uncle john who just p***ed away, and i seen he contributed alot to this site, i have lots of good memories about him and lots of very cool christmas' where i would go out in the garage and sit in the latest sprint car or hot rod... he was always super cool to me and always knowledgeable about any hot rod project i had going on at the time, he will be missed. any cool stories/pictures or other info would be appreciated, thanks, jon josephson
Are you talking about HAMBer Johnnyfast? Geez, I just wished him a happy birthday on the 31st!!! Wow, we have lost a very good guy! My sympathies go out to his family.
Very sad day for me Though I never met the man I always was interrested in what he had to say and I will never forget him everyday I walk in my garage I see apart of him. RIP Johnny Fast If I can use a phase from a friend that was use at his father funeral (Terry Lapp) "Life is not a journey to the grave With the intention of Arriving safely in a pretty And well preserved body, But rather to skid in broadside, Thoroughly used up, Totally worn out, And loudly proclaiming, WOW !!!! What a FU*@#N ride!
Jon, Your uncle was at times a great help but was and is always a great inspiration to me and I know many others here. He will certainly be missed but he'll be in our heads, our hearts and our hands, always.
I have a blueprint he drew hanging on my garage wall ( an old sprint car/ modified frame ). He gave it to me when we were trying to get the old style modifieds going again in Grand Rapids, and Hibbing,MN. I think it was in 1973. Steve
Very sorry for your loss, sounds like he left YOU some great memories.....that's a blessing we appreciate in later years.
