A friend from Iowa stopped by today and was checking out the 1955 Nebraska plates on my 55 Chevy and he wondered if Iowa did something similar. Anyone from Iowa done this or know the rules? Thanks

You can run year of make plates in Iowa, just be sure to have your regular plates handy and up to date. I asked at the DMV here in Des Moines before I put them on my '54.

Yep you can run the YOM plates so long as you have the current up to date tags in the vehicle with you.

  5. Exactly! I am running 32 plates on my truck.
