Great build, I cite your truck all of the time to the guys on FTE who want to bolt their sheet metal to a modern 4X4. I even have your FTE build in my favorites for a quick reference.

    Thanks

The only real bummer is I found one spot on the p***enger side fender where the paint has a little bubble........either contamination or water in the line or???? I hope we don't have to re-spray that fender but is looking like I may have to.

Nice work! Black paint requires extra confidence in your work. You pulled it off!

John...that black is the cat's ***! I've had my '55 F100 since 1972, got it running in '73, it's been thru lotsa changes.
A bud gave me a '52 F-1 in '98, it's been cleaned up, bed off, front clip traded for the early type. (love those '48-50s)
I kept the '52 cab, so I'll have a '48 type with 'big back window'...
My sheet metal's nice, bed is rough...but I just finished my new shop, so I can do the bed now.
Man, I like that black paint! Looks very professional.

    Thanks again guys....

Lowkat, there is a lot of dust and dirt on the rims currently.... but they are actaully black too but the new paint on the truck makes them look like **** so in the future I will spray them with the same paint I am painting the truck with.

But that won't be until I get around to un-mounting the tires to replace them with some wide whites some time in the distant future when these tires wear down more.

In the mean time I plan on shooting a little more rattle can gloss black on them and putting the new hubcaps on that I bought for it.

Hard to beat a nice black paint job! I like how you've done the build by enjoying it, and doing it gradually.

Today we got the bed, the hood, the tailgate, cowl vent, the running boards, and the bumper painted.

I also painted the rims and put on new caps.
