I know this goes back to the original post from months ago but what the hell. Still running all stock front end. Everyone thinks I lowered it a bit but the real situation is sagging, worn *** out, 57 year old leaf springs. Thats the trick boys and girls, save your money on those lowering kits and droped axles, and drive the **** out of it and in time it will gain a stance all its own! By the way, does anyone have any decent stock springs that they are tired of tripping over? I might buy em from ya. PM me if you do so as not to dirty up the thread.

P.S. Hell yes P&B!! "Anyone with testicles and common sense." If I wanted it to handle like a camaro I would be driving a camaro. It does start getting a little squirrely between 80mph and 120mph with old manual steering but thats what prayers and a 5 point are for!

Yep, kept the solid axle on my '55 Studebaker 3/4t. It's gonna stay a truck, not an extremely inconvenient and cramped failed attempt to make a car out of it.

Add me to the list with my '59 Fleet option GMC plus all my past trucks still had the solid axle also. Heck even my late model truck has one as it is a 4wd.
