I recently acquired a 47-53 GMC Truck style radio from a HAMB member. I was wondering if anyone on here had any do***entation pertaining to this radio. Diagrams, prints, anything. Thanks
A model number and manufacturer may help determine what source of information can help you. Sams Photofact, or Rider radio manuals might be what you need, but to look them up, a model number is required.
I might have the Sams; if you can't find the number on the outside open it up and look for a label, should have a tube chart, etc.
if it's an origin GM Radio a look into the shop manual should be helpful, think you can get it as a reprint on ebay or somewhere. my '42 shop manual has lots of info and details about all styles of factory radios, about tube types, diagramms, spare part lists etc.. Carsten
There are actually two styles of factory radio used in that period; '47-'50 and '51 to '53. The '47 - '50 have a slanted back cover and the '51-'53 type have a shoebox type back cover. Which do you have? I have full sheets on both.
