I recently inherited an old pickup that my father and I started years ago. Along with it (or any good project) came many parts, probably from many different cars/trucks. I need some help identifying some of these parts, and if they are worth keeping, selling, or just adding to the s**** metal pile. A lot of them, I know what they are, but would like to verify. This will probably end up lengthy, with a lot of pictures. So I'll start it off and see where we can get. Thanks in advance for the help, I know I need it! 1. 37-9? Ford dash 2. 40 Ford firewall 3. 4. Think this may be the 39 Ford pickup firewall 5. 39 Ford sedan/coupe rear fenders
always got to be one in the crowd! i figured i would start with the easier stuff before tossing out brackets and other odds and ends.
It's all complete junk...so feel free to dispose of all of it in my yard. HA! (Everything you have pictured has value, even the badly dented parts.)
it's all good. yeah, i figured it did, just figuring out what exactly they are and kinda what they are worth. i know a lot of this i won't need and will probably try to sell. just got to know what they are first
The rear fenders appear to be 1939 Ford coupe or sedan. They could be pickup, but I would have to see the mounting side, pickup mounting flange is straight up and down, others are at an angle.
Thanks Kscarguy, they are at an angle. Nobey, not looking to sell yet, but will probably start listing stuff once i figure out what I have. Anyone have any idea what #2&3 may be from? Here comes some more.... 6. 39 Ford Pickup Door panels 7. 38-9 Ford pickup hood side emblems 8. 38-9 Ford pickup headlight mount (other one is still on the fenders) 9. 47-54? Chevy/GMC truck rear fenders, running boards, fillers 10. 39 Ford Pickup upper dash 11. 38-9 Ford pickup tilt out windshield. What else will this fit?
12. 38-9 Ford pickup rear window garnish trim 13. ***orted inner fender panels. some home made, others modified. any value in these? 15. 39 Ford pickup grill/chrome trim. Can anyone tell me if there should be a chrome strip down the middle of this grill? 16. 38-9 Ford Pickup running boards 17. 38-9 Ford Pickup "forehead" interior panel. 18. 38-9 hood side panels. 1 ton? are they different from 1/2 ton to 1 ton? 19. 38-9 Ford pickup roof section 20. 38-9 Ford pickup hood
Picture #2 is a '40 Ford firewall. You can tell it's not a '38 or '39 because it has the holes to mount the windshield wiper motor and the one verticle bead makes a turn around one of those holes.
