Greetings from the beautiful rust belt of N.E. Ohio

Greetings all;

I have been a lurker here for a while and always wanted to register and finally saw a truck I wante to buy, so I signed up and sent the gentleman a PM. Never heard back from him.

I PM'ed a few parts vendors and ordered some cool bomber seats and some muffler cut-outs. Awaiting their arrival. I really enjoy the cl***ifieds and watch them all the time.

Personally, I'm a late 50's vintage and have always had an intrest in cars. For about twenty years I owned a shop that manufactured windmill towers and distributed windmills. It was a lot of fun, met a ton of nice folks, but as with so many business' in the last decade, things went dried up.

Currently, I buy and resell metal working machinery, mostly manual machines for small shops and hobbyists. With a recent surge in US manufacturing, things are looking good again.

Currently, I am starting to build a track "T". Picked up a nice body from Superior some time back. I am wanting to build it with a 40's/50's look on the exterior. V-8 style wires, narrow tires and a quick change. Ford power, not sure if I'll use a 302 or a 347. I am planning to turn my son loose in it when he turns 16, so I don't want to kill him his first time out.

Any way, enough about me. I'm sure some of you will be hearing from me sometime in the future. Always looking for great deals and this seems to be the place.

Hello Girard. I worked at American Welding (AmWeld) at 100 Plant street a looooong time ago. From 1967 to early 68. I'm from Youngstown. Got a job at Kerr's Speed Shop. Ended up moving to Cincinnati for em in 68 to open a new store there.
