Hello HAMBer's. A friend told me about this site the other day and I just can't quit reading it. Fantastic!!! I built a '31 A roadster in the mid-50's with a '49 Lincoln flathead V8 (it was very cheap -- my Dad left it parked too long). This was a real learning experience and I had a ball. After this, I built a '31 A coupe and added an Olds engine that I had bored and stroked, ISKY full-race cam, 6 Stromberg 97s. Raced it at Pelion, S.C. somewhere between 1958 and 1960. Took no pictures at all -- Bummer!! Joined the Navy in '62 and quit hotrods altogether ... until now!!!! This site and all these great posts are helping me get back to what is really dear to me. Thanks. Steve Durdin Roswell, GA
Welcome from Lexington, S.C. I live about 15 minutes form Pelion. I didn't even know there was a place to race in pelion, and I have friends that live there that build rods as well.
