I've got nothing except a Bump to hope you find out at least a little bit of history behind the car. Am I the only one that has a car with no significance? Damn, I need to start buying California projects from now on.
No worries, main reason I posted Bob Alleborn's car is the rumble seat and the location of the tonneau snaps in the 1/4s appear identical. As you know lots can happen over 63 years. As the back panel is a '31 I figured a former owner didn't like the flush license plate. Does it have the dark blue paint? I think that was the colour of Alleborn's. I will keep looking anyway.
If anyone can find it Jimmy can...still has the "A" dash in the HRM pictures but, like Jimmy says, a lot can change -- another owner could have added the Auburn dash and it looks like there might have been more than one type of taillight ... but then again there were so many in SoCal in the early days...really hope you find the history
If anyone can I.D. it it's Jimmy B ! I love the roadster, it's cool finding these old California treasures.
