On Friday night I went to Harrys Diner for the car show.Haven't been for a long time.A few hot rods and cl***ics.A lot of street machine style cars(late model Holdens,Falcons etc)Not good lighting there so pics not so sharp.

Sunday was Greazefest.Beautiful sunny day(still cold in the roadster even at 9am) and huge lineup to get in,over 30 mins in the line.I reckon several hundred cars but a lot not so HAMB friendly.Huge vendors turnout and some good music. This is one of the best local events.

A couple of shots of Aussie cars that may interest US friends and I even managed to get a shot of my own roadster in there somewhere.

Some more.I put the "rat rod" in for some shock value and to define "ugly and useless".Of course these guys have convinced themselves that this is how they were built in the early days of hot rodding.

Back on track. The last 2 shots on this post are the Rock N Roll George FX Holden.
He was an iconic figure in Brisbane in the 50's and 60's cruising the city streets every Friday and Saturday nights. His mother bought him the car new in 1952 and when he died a couple of years ago it was in very poor condition.
The car was purchased from his estate by Scott Hutchinson of Hutchinson Builders and the original car was given to the Brisbane Museum for display.Scott then found a very good original FX(48-150) and rebuilt it to look like the original car with all the acessories.

I am getting the car for my little show we put on as part of the Nundah Village Street Festival on September 9th.I will put up another thread soon to promote the show and hopefully we can get a few more cars this year
