Hey guys ***le says it I'm after photos of a 30/31 model a coupe on duece rails running model a fenders I'm sure it's been done but I can't find any pictures and we are building one for a guy here in nz he is new to rodding but his wife says it must have fenders and want to see how you guys have cut them to fit the lines on the rails etc and how they will look we were not going to run slash panels Thanks everyone in advance Dylan
It would be much easier to just run 32 fenders, they fit the frame. Haven't seen model A fenders modified as such.
There's that option he already has the a fenders so was hoping to see if anyone else has done this before
The reason you can't find any photos is because Model A finders don't fit a Deuce frame. The Model A's use splash aprons to cover the frame rails,,on a 32 there is no splash aprons the frame rail on a Deuce is the mounting point for the running boards. 32 fenders, both front and back don't drop down as far as A's where they meet the running boards. Go to the site listed below and see for yourself the major differences in the fenders,,you will find out why you never see Model A fenders on Deuce frames. I'm sure you could slice and dice the a fenders beyond recognition and stick them on there. The 32 frame gets you a decent look without fenders, and 3" more wheel base. If her majesty is having her input on hot rods and fenders is a deal breaker,,,, Then put the A on an A frame with A fenders and stretch the frame 3" or Sell the A fenders and fit 32 fenders. There's been several decades of talented builders doing everything under the sun, why can't you find any pics. If you can pull it off , you're going to be an originator I believe
