    and another.

ever have one of those nights in the garage?

    last night was mine.
set out to strip and start cleaning a few holley 1904 cores i had in a box on the shelf, and start putting a list of shit i need to buy or fab for the intake...

"well, i got three working, decent looking carbs, why not bolt em to the intake just to have a looksee."

then... "well, its not all THAT hard to pull 8 bolts or so, and drop it on top of the exhaust manifold and see what its gonna look like on top of the motor. . ."

"yaknow, long as i got the intake off,, might as well pull the exhaust and bolt the headers on, yaknow,,, just to check the intake clearance an all. . ."

    and on it went.

i told mama i'd be in the house in an hour. that was at midnight. finaly dragged my ass back in the house about a half hour ago.

least my dirty mill has some nice shiny shit on it now. :D

  5. Yeah, every day is like that. Start out on one thing and end up 11 steps back building a tool to build a tool to make the original thing work out better....

Good looking mill Traves. All you need are some good tunes on the radio and you'd be amazed what can be accomplished

i'd be pleased to have it on the road in late spring for some shakedown runs. goal is set for next years Drags, so i think its doable. she'll be rough round the edges, but aint we all?

-=LD=- Headers came from another HAMBer (got a killer deal on a brang new set... Viva LA HAMB :D ) they are made by clifford performance 6=8 baby!

  12. The nice man in the white truck just dropped off a box of grimey 223 headers, got 'em reasoable from another HAMBer, 3/3 split. The power to weight ratio is going to be a little more favorable in my application though.:D Can't wait to hear the sounds of two 111.5 cubic inch 3 cylinders coming out of the straight pipes 2 feet behind my ass..
