i can't wait to see your leaning tower of power when you get it in yours. well my 292 is out and i am going to try to fire up the 308 tomarrow! put the finishing touches on some stuff today. tested the starting circut, ignition circut and fuel line for leaks so i think it will be a go. well at least i hope it goes.

i bought a 50 olds 303 w/hydramatic ******, all rebuilt with 200 miles on them from a friend. his dad had them in a 51 hudson and it was a very easy fit. he went back to the hudson engine and sold me the olds which i planned on putting in my 53 monterey. the motor and ****** is now for sale.

Thanks Dammage! I have a '49 Super Six shell that I'm working on now with a '50 Commodore donor that has a running 262 (trans has some issues and won't shift) and have been debating on a) putting something else in or b) finding someone local (San Diego Area) that can do a rebuild for me. Keep us posted on the progress and any words of wisdom is always greatly appreciated!!!

My 51 came with a 318 poly and an unknown manual in it. The front motor mounts are less than elegant, but the ****** and everything is in, d/s hooked up.

  7. Here's a frame pic of my Hudson with the mounts. Just bar stock in an L shape with a tube to take the through bolt of a GM type motor mount, you can see one beside the A-arm there on the driver's side. I have an '88 Caprice to s**** and I'm going to stick the 305 and 200R4 in this when I do.

Nope. Most racing Hudsons ran the 308 Hudson Six. And outran the Oldsmobiles in the process!

Yes, still here, two years later. Haven't looked at the Hudson. Had a baby. Had to make more money. The patina on it is just getting better
