With a hearty pool of trans juice, the might Hydro says good bye... A friened of mine locally here spent the better part of a lifetime one year trying to make his genuine B&M Hydro work...

    The new home looks great.

We should start a pool to see how long that '39 box lasts.

Be careful on Torquing those bolts to the aluminum adapter. They like to strip really easy. If I were to do it again, I think I'd use TIMESERTS on every hole since I have them in almost half already. Shoulda checked the threads before mating I know I know....

I still have one that's stripped but I refuse to take the trans out once again....especially since I have a torque tube. I'm gonna try and throw a Metric bolt in there and see if it bites.

Exciting stuff though for sure!!! Keep at it man.

So yesterday we made some progress.. I cleaned all the wires and fuel lines around the brake mount and ended up cutting that hole ****er off.. Good bye 1 pedal.. time for 2!!

Mean while Lucky started to fab up the new cossmember / Trans mount / brake and Pedal mount... Heres some shot of the top / first piece being fitted... Its gonna be pretty sweet...

Next week we are gonna work late!! so i'll have more updates as I get them...

Thanks to Lucky for all your help!!

The Hydro is actually good.. It was more about adjustments and getting it shift right with my carb set up.. Couldn't do things like adjust the belts either with that set up... Overall I didn't like it...to much adjusting ****.. But the trans is good there was no weird shavingings in the oil etc.. low milage on the rebuild..

Thats where we are at now.. More maybe tomorrow..??

This is the hardest part of doing this swap is making eveything mount right.. the 35 pedals mount on the "K" of the member and is in a weird angle so Lucky has to figure piece by piece so everything clears right.. its gonna be a pretty impressive piece... :D It will also bolt on to the frame so it will be removable for those easy trans repairs...

Gotcha. I was just curious... I have an old race Hydro that I want to put in our current project and I was hoping you weren't going to tell me some horror story about it breaking down.
