Hello Gentlemen, I just bought a 1949 chevrolet 3100 truck that I am going to start working on to make it driveable. I have found a lot of usefule information on here already and look forward to picking up some new information and seeing some awesome rides
Welcome from overseas, tell some more, what's your name and what did you do all your life? (if you want)
Welcome as well. I am in the far west suburbs of Chicago. Just started my first restoration project. Found a 1947 Mercury this summer in a pole barn in Indiana and am pulling the engine out to have it machined. I just got it running (after sitting for 50Yrs!! Hows that for "MADE IN AMERICA" it has one bad piston, but the rest of the engine seems solid. I am really a novice at were to find parts and what to do and not do. Also just converted it from 6V to 12V wiring for the starter and ignition. Good luck on you project.
