The guy that I bought my '49 Caddy from told me that Abraham Lincoln himself had driven the car to Georgia when he was fighting Saddam Hussein in the Napoleonic war. He even had a hand drawn picture to prove it. Sure it looked like a picture of a cat that a kid had drawn,..but I believe him. I think it ads about 20 cents to the value of the glove box in my car. Nice Customline regardless
So I guess we will slam it gold daytons skinny white walls sun roof... 4 18 's in the trunk maybe some hydraulics.... Fuzzy dice and some flow masters.
This is a '55 Chevy Two Ten Delray. The Delray was an interior option available on the Two Ten only. I have a '57 Chevy Two Ten that I upgraded with Delray interior.
well the pics of him in car on this thread are a delray 2dr ...i know this because it has the pull straps between the front and rear window for which is only installed on 2dr models. So he was cool driving a 2dr 55 chevy...
Of course he was cool driving the 55 Chevy and the Porsches and the Truimph Motorcycle. He let someone else drive the Ford Station Wagon because that wasn't cool.
I really like J.B.'s music but those photos remind me of Toad in the 58. Jeez, what a waste of machinery.
Would you believe, that the '55 Del Ray later became the Chevy used in the "Two Lane Blacktop" movie that James Taylor drove.
I bought JD's car here in mass, 55 Delray coupe. HAHA, I wish. However I do own a signed country album with authenticity by Jimmy Dean and it doesn't smell like sausage.
