Old Stock ride height: New Ride Height, courtesy of Fatman Drop spindles and Jamco lowering suspension front and back: I'll wait til I get the actual wheels and tires on the car before I decide if the rear needs to come down a bit more. I can add up to a 4" lowering block on the Jamco rear suspension. As you can see, I just popped a fender on there to get the effect.
New Gas tank compared to the old: A nice shot of the wide whites: You can see how low my front crossmember now is. I'd says I'm gonna be hitting a few things. But, that's allrite.... a lil sacrafice for that just right ride height.
The new shifter... Gennie 28".... This is what that ole skull w/tophat shift knob is for. Here you can see where the knob is going to peek over the dash. Just before I stuck the front fender on. Any questions or comments... fire away.
you would ask that... lol. I was gonna measure it last nite so I knew that if someone asked. I'll have to check it when I get home tonite if I remember. I'll let you know.
Yes and no. lol. I'm hoping to pick up some steelies out at the swap meet here at the end of the month. I've got my wiring and seats, I need to have the driveshaft made, brake lines ran and the exhaust hung. But, I've luckily got most everything in my attic just waiting on me. Aside from needing the wheels from the swap meet, everything else is minor, or something I don't really care to have. I was hoping to have it on the road by now but, maybe by next spring or summer. My wife should be spitting out my daughter here anytime... so, I'll have a newborn to take away some of my wrench time.
I have no idea... I've been wondering that myself. It was botched in there by the previous owner. I snapped it in half the other day pushing it back into the garage so, it'll be out of there anyway. Anybody know a steering box and column that's a direct bolt up? I'm gonna have to keep my eyes peeled during the upcoming swap meet. I've got a late model column but, getting it hooked to that box... I just haven't looked into it yet.
