I've been to the 1st two and will be at the 3rd. For those who haven't been it's a great gr***y spot with with quite a bit of shade. Hope to see you there !!!

Wish the 33 was done but I'll make it anyway. Maybe I can take the Chevy to round 4 next year.

This club might want to think about changing their name. There has been a Rattlers car club here on the west coast for well over 15 years.

 

Yea, and I wonder how many clubs are using the name "Spades" or "Ty-rods" or "Aces" or "Camsnappers or "Piston Pushers or...... Perhaps they should ALL change their names, too.

 

and FWIW, these Rattlers have been around for a lot longer than their hot rod reunion, too. Just because this is only the third event doesn't mean that they're a fledgeling hot rod club.

 

No where in my statement does it say they are a fledgeling car club. As for your example of other clubs the Aces have chapters here in the U.S. and over in europe. The ty-rods are one club.

Hope the show is a success and keeps your scene alive. I will forward this to the Rattlers here on the west coast and see what they have to say. Again its just a recommendation that you change the name. It's the same as copying the Shifters or Choppers name.

 

Hey ya Ron, I first heard of the MA Rattlers maybe 5 years ago, even at that time they were already a well established club. They have been using the Rattlers name about as long as we (AZ Rattlers) have. Both clubs began using the name years ago without knowledge of each other, and by the time we'd heard of each other, it was really too late for either club to be expected to change names. Just one of those things.

From what I've gleaned here on the HAMB, the MA Rattlers have a good reputation and put on an outstanding show. They are 3000 miles away on the opposite side of the country, so there is little chance for confusion bettween our clubs.

I don't see any real problem. No big deal. Like I said earlier, it's just one of those things.

There's the Ty-rods in CT and the Ty-Rods in MA. That's more'n one club.

Nobody owns a generic club name. There are HUNDREDS of them (clubs with the same name) out there. Just take a look at Dennis O'Brien's club plaque collection.

 

Wow. I just logged on after a few weeks away. Mike L: Thanks for the support. I am a Rattler member and have been for the last four years. When I joined, then club had been in existance for at least 10 years. Unfortunately, it had gone dormant over time. The past 4 years we have been working hard to resurrect the club. We think we've done a pretty good job. We're looking forward to having another great Hot Rod Reunion again this year - Round 3. We call ourselves Rattlers Bay State. That has been the logo on our T-Shirt for years. Dennis O'Brien's shop is right here in Charlton, MA, and he has several other plaques for Rattlers car clubs. We don't want to get into a ******* contest over the name of a car club. We appreciate all the the Rattlers in AZ do to continue the tradition and art of hot-rodding over in the western part of our country, and hope that we can do the same over here on the east. Just as an FYI, why don't you search Rattlers C.C. on Facebook. - They are in France! Also on Facebook is another Rattlers CarClub that purports to have been founded in '06 - Just sayin'. I'm actually kind of flattered that our little ole car club of 13 guys, has been taken notice of by people 3000 miles away. This is really about the cars isn't it? Nobody is trying to "steal" anyone's name.

Glad to see we got bumped up! Hot Rod Reunion Round 3 is just about 2 weeks away.

 

Push pull or tow I'll be at the show!

 

I'm hoping the idiot weather people have their Saturday forecast wrong !!! They're predicting rain for Friday night and Saturday. Is there a rain date just in case ???

 

We're keeping our fingers crossed for decent weather. It's still 4 days away. It's a Rain-or-Shine show.

It's New England so we can only hope for the best! I'm hoping they're wrong.

 

I'm going rain or shine as long as the motor doesn't let go on me on my way there tomorrow

 

I`m goingto try and swing by to show support even if it rains but i do have to work if it rains.

 

We'll be there Rippin' it up with the Razorbacks Rain or Shine. Heck, the day's going to be marginal anyway - might as well make the most of what Mother Nature is dishin' out! It took me 10 hours to get home from DC yesterday - Air travel was a nightmare because of bad weather here on the east coast. I'm gonna have some fun today! Hoping we can get some people out to support Rattlers Bay State today - lots of resources went into today's show. We would appreciate every ounce of support

Had a great time today even though it was hot as hell. The humidity was at the tropical level. We got rained on on the ride home. Thanks to Dave50 for saving us two spots next to him. Here's a few phone pics.. Thanks Rattler's!

A really good turnout considering the forecast of thundershowers. There were a lot more cars than I had time to look at. The Razorbacks rocked the place with great music.
