There are enough builder to build you just about any engine near you so why buy from a place that you just see on a computer screen or on Evilbay ? There are a ton of Dealerships near you that will sell you a good crate engine with a good guarantee . Why not start there first ? Retro Jim
The term crate motor has morphed over the years. The original term meant that you were buying a new motor in the crate as it was delivered to the ***embly plant. Brand new and never run before. Today any engine rebuilt in the many engine rebuild mills are called crate motors but I agree with you a true crate motor is not a rebuilt motor.
