it's hot right now, and I went for a little bike ride, then to the store for beer. no AC in the truck. I could see that scoop, with a big dryer hose attached to it running inside the car under the dash blowing cool air on my junk while I drive around. then I wouldn't care how goofy it looked.
Opinions? You ask for opinions on the HAMB? Oh you have unleashed the dogs. Scoops on a 4door remind me of a movie made in Australia, MADMAX I think. Where they put scoops on everything and jacked the *** way up and put on flame job decals. And everybody had chrome American Racing spoke wheels. And they were all 4doors.
fixing up a 4door looks like you were too poor for a 2door. Or you wanted a 2door but your wife made you buy a 4door for the kids and you caved because your whipped and she wears the pants in your house. Albeit BIG pants but none the less she wears 'em. And combat boots too.
Put the scoop on the the shelf. If you needed a scoop, you would have already had a hole in the hood, or a huge dent where closing the hood caused the hood to hit the carbs. Do something more useful, like fixing the headliner.
So its ugly and I suggust you sell it to a Rat Rodder. I have an old Cal Custom which is a much nicer scoop that I turned around and mounted backwards for an Air Cleaner. I do not do pictures.
"like" ****on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BAAWAWAAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAH Put the scoop on to make yourself happy. Make it so you can close the hood over it to please the wife. No drama is a plus, even though I have a popcorn maker and want some.
You have taken some very frank criticism and been very good about it. Sometimes it is hard to do that, but you did, and that says a lot about you. Some cars are just better off left alone, or at the most with minor changes. If you go to any show you will see guys who think adding every bolt on accessory Pep Boys sells is the way to finish their car off. Those are the cars you shake you head at and wonder what the guy was thinking. Look at it this way, you can go to your Wife and say "Honey, I have been thinking about what you said and I am going to leave the scoop off." It never hurts to gain some points when it comes to Momma. Don
Hey, it's your car. And, if you want it to remain your car, as in no one else would want it with that scoop on it, then put it on & enjoy being the last owner
I don't get the guys that are saying not to build the car because it's a four door. The guys in N.Y... In case some of you don't know,we don't have the pick of the litter here. I say if it's solid build it. BUT,if you run any kind of scoop on it,I think it better have something nasty under the hood.
You say you're on the fence with the idea,fall off and don't ruin your car with the scoop. You seem to want a scoop real bad so at least go out find you an aftermarket mopar scoop and put on it.
I think a scoop on any 4 door is like silicone ***s on frankenstein. Doubt your going to get a date!!! Hahaahaha
