I hate to see a good wagon cut up, but that's pretty sweet! I have a set of 2dr hardtop doors if you need them!

I really hope it will get built.

Please do a Build Thread here on the HAMB.

I dont see whats so bad about cutting up a 4Dr Wagon anyway.

They might be cool now, but werent they the Minivans of their day? ;)

I apologize for hijacking the thread.... As for the 63 Ranchero XL is going to be built as of right now I am looking for a bell housing to turn the original 289 into a manual and loose the blown cruis-o-matic... The car is a salvage ***le has a fudged up roof and p***enger side is pretty mangled. I will stretch the doors so I am looking for a set of 2 door doors to make it easier and trying to figure out the best rear window setup i was thinking a 57 ford wagon frame (have one at my disposal) but would prefer a flatter style window... I have less than 2k in this car right now and i bought it when i was 19 and drove it for three year as my only driveable car that i owned never doing anything except change points and oil.. I will start a build thread when I get started hopefully this fall.

Another reason in my book to cut it up is I have two wagon. How many wagons does a single man need?

I can't speak as to the wheels, but the motor is a 170 slant six

Of What? 1960 Full size rancheros? I would tend to believe that they were custom made by a coachbuilt shop but I have never seen pics of any that weren't custom built and never a full size Ford of the 60's. but i doubt they ever existed

  16. yeah im not saying they were actually ford built probably farmed out conversions of station wagons

i would just want to see a pic of any exist even of a factory prototype clay model they were concerdering building before the decision was made to go with the falcons

this is a custom car and hot rod forum and people are hoping a STATION WAGON doesn't get cut up? I'm confused. Cut it up, its only a station wagon.

No, they are kinda different. The main difference is, Station wagons made great Jr stockers, whereas minivans are a tool of Satan.:D If he does a nice job of the Ranchero conversion, I am all for it.

That CRIES OUT for an FE and some 390 flags. Are you going to do a shortened XL console and buckets? This is really starting to sound pretty good.
