  3. Sweet Pete! It wouldn't be a race without you.

Can Moose squeeze in on the couch with you two? They don't call him Squirm for nothing!!!

Are you down with the bee'ahtch?

  5. Man, just went back and read all the last couple posts. All my favorite pals are coming! We'll besides Squirm. He at least puts out anyway.

    Details are still Loose.
Normally I would have had months to prepare for something like this. Especially something this nuts! Ya see, when I told the mayor I had a crazy idea... I didn't think anyone would say YES. But not only when he said Yes, yes, yes, he said when? I said next year and he was bummed. So I said, this year! Which works perfect because the weekend I randomly picked so it didn't coincide with other shows, just so happens to be the weekend that the tide works in our favor. The tide is at it's lowest, at the end of October.

The tide on the 20th, day of race... will be at its dead low for the day at HIGH NOON. So we will start things off around 10 am and go till the tide ch***es us out. We have plenty of time.

The Pre party will go down around 8:30 on Friday night, and till the last man stands, or we get all the ladies to lay down. I'm just teasing ladies. It just sounds like a wild beach party. Pete and Squirm the two most handsome guys are gay anyway. Have you seen my beard lately? You don't want any part of this!

I'm still working on the band, or bands. I'm trying to get my friend Jayson(Hamb guy) plays we the Neanderthals, Los Straight Jackets, etc., to play in his new band. Guy by the name of J.D. McPhearson. I have a couple other back up ideas as well. I'm also trying to reunite a sick, sick band, perfect for the beach! I might just be able to do it. Either way, we are gonna ball it up, as my pal Little Richard would say.

There will be a bon fire on the beach too, wahoo! The great thing about this beach is, you are actually allowd to drink on it. Yes, you heard me right. Ya see, in most towns... you get a big hefty ticket for open containers on the beach. Not here, hence the super cool mayors of this bad *** little beach. So Friday night, is bring your own. CANS please!!!

Saturday, race day. Beers will be provided by the fireman and they will have trucks on location for the attendees. Drivers, we will party it down later in our race trophys with bikini girls! Just teasing, plactic cups work fine! Girls optional.

Car against car, bike against bike. Four banger against four banger, V8 against V8.

It is a straight run, one mile from Jetty to Jetty. So I figure we do an 1/8 mile or more so we have plenty of shut down room. Keep you posted on this. I need to wait till the beach season closes and we can prepare the beach. Walked it the other day, an amazing spot.

    Stay tuned peoples!

Mel, as this develops, the word 'epic' quickly fails as an appropriate word to describe what this weekend will be.

I am so stoked for it I can't take it. Even if Pete is coming...hahaha

I might have some extra room for well behaved out-of-towners. I am few miles away from the spot, but not too bad. Just don't wake up the wife and kids and all is well. Priority sleeping space will be given to those who want to lend a hand on my car.

And definitely only bring cans to the beach. Bottles will just get you in trouble. It's all good, Mel likes it in the can anyhow.

Last time we went to a Mel sponsored event we almost got booted from the hotel because a certain club member decided to take a little beer induced nappy on the sidewalk rather than pay for a room. I'm just glad we're still allowed back.

This is a friggin great idea Mel and you're probably the only guy who could pull this off!!..Like I said to you the other day,any thoughts to a couple of "loose" cl***es for the cars and or bikes?
    Like:
    Inlines(4's,6's or 8's)
    Flathead V-8's
    Early overhead v-8's,if allowed?
    cl***ify bikes by cubic inches?

Someone to help organize the matchups would make for a better "show"..A compe***ion director maybe? Or is it just run who's inline next to you? Whatever you choose to do it will be epic!

two questions is it a drag race kinda thing or laps? And will there be a parking area for hot rods n stuff like that? (not just spectators).

  29. Georgie, great talking to you the other day! Been trying to call you back. Had to drop our call cause the Mayor was on the horn. Also had my boy for a couple of days and I'm trying to get a roadster for a friend in order. He has no patience and wants it back, so I'm husseling.

You need to get a cell so just me and you can text! Pete sends dirty pictures, makes a guy feel special once in awhile.

Yes, I do need someone to run the races. I will be running around that day selling and applying sun screen! I was hoping to finish our conversation soon. I do need someone. Almost thought about calling an official from my Motor Speedway days(Walter). I like him a lot. But those guys burned me, not Walter... so I have yet to figure that out. Anyone cool from ATCO?

There will be cl***es for all autos or bikes, and just that... inline against inline, Flathead V8 against Flathead V8, banger vs banger, etc.

But people have to ***PRE-REGISTER*** with me so it is not a **** show that morning. It also gives me some control of how the day will operate and I can tell guy hell yes, or hell no. I "do" want this to happen every year, so I need to curate it, not let it run wild.

I also don't want stuff that doesn't look racey on the beach. For instance, no bobbed out street bikes, choppers, rat rods, etc. It needs to have the look and feel of a race.

Everyone that has sent in a pic so far has pre war stuff. Lots of hand shift, foot clutch motorcycles, which makes for more fun on the sand! So far I have two really sweet 32 Fords with early overhead valves, (post-war). They will get matched up against each other.

I am saving most pics for the vintage program we are making. But lots of guys have yet to send stuff in but swear they won't miss it. I have faith!

  30. My friend is head of the Monmouth County AACA. He was here last night at my home and is very excited to tell everyone tonight. He is also an Indian nut and getting the word out to some local Pals with old iron.

Someone above asked if there will be parking for old cars/bikes not in the race. YES!

Ocean Avenue, which rolls along the boardwalk will have enough room for a car show. We are saving all of this room for attendees in or on old rides. Perfect cruising weather!

There is also ample parking for cars, vans trailers, etc. We have the use of a few lots with a shuttle service for FREE to get you too and from beach, or town, etc.

Even the antique shop is behind me and gave me an invitation to use their space for adverti*****t. I'd love to stick a car or bike in there with some of my collectibles. I just have so much to do!

I do have it thought out though, and I can get it all done. My friends and I are going to set up a night soon every week where we make props, etc. I'm going all the way man...

We call younger surfers Grommets, I have a gang of them that want to help.
