I'd like to find the number of the generator on my 59 Ford. There is no tag with a number like some of the Delco-Remy's have, the only markings I can find are the stamped F and G for the field and ground connections. How can I determine which generator I have?

Ford basically use only one a 30 amp one. Standard re builder's # 5838 AIRC. Larger outputs were out sourced from Autolite ,Leese -Neville etc. The actual Ford part # was probably just a ink stamping on the body,no sense wasting money on a tag.

Ah! Ink stamping. Probably long gone. That explains it, thanks!
