i have a banjo rear end in my model t that is leaking at the yoke, it is an open drive shaft, looks to be original. i need help/suggestions in identifying it so i can get an new seal. maybe what or where i can measure to get the new seal. the bolt pattern is the really wide 5, maybe someone changed the drums???

  3. If it is not a mechanical seal, as in it is one of those round sheet metal deals with the rubber around the middle, I have had good luck going to a NAPA or other pre automotive supermarket type of autoparts and just matching them up.

But you still want to know what you got so I am going to say go with the info that chop top kid gave you.

I am not sure that Ford built a wide 5 open drive so you may have to just match it up anyway.

sweet thanks a ton! i dont know why i didnt think of just trying to match it up to one at a parts store! i just love how they always ask what year? when asking for parts specifically.
