per an ad at page 148 of the Oct 2012 Hot Rod magazine:
a "vintage salvage yard that sat frozen in time for 50 years" will be auctioned on aby Aug 30 to Sept 8
ebay number said to be 160834305029
(?? I don't know how they get a number before listing...)

Anyone know more about this yard?

That number isn't good according to Ebay. It looks like they are auctioning off the whole yard at one shot though.

370638443628 is the number I found. Just put "salvage yard" in the
    search and it came up.

Let us know if you get it.

I hope that's not the right auction, cuz there sure doesn't look like any "frozen in time for 50 years" cars there

If you put the number that fenders showed in the search it bring page showing that the listing isn't open.
Put Junkyard auction in the search and along with the links to diecast cars it shows a photo from the original add in the "previously looked at" corner. at least it did for me. 475K starting bid

The auction has been pulled for some reason.

The listing ***le was "RARE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE SALVAGE YARD. INVENTORY INCLUDES CARS AND PARTS" The pic that was with it was cool... It showed up as suggested when I did the search but when you click on it you get the message that it's no longer a valid listing.

    A bargain at $475,000...

  8. That picture is at least 75 years old....all those Ts have paint and cloth tops intact.... so it may have expired the allowed ebay 75 year auction period.....

  9. Sounds like someone's fishing expedition. If you paid around current s**** prices and it was in a state where cars rot less it might be worth it though.
