    Yep!, you read it right.

Gene and I are going to chop the top on my 48 Ford at the Labor Day Paso show.

And you can be a part of it.

I'm allowed to select a couple of helpers so we have plenty of strong backs and weak minds. It would be easy to do it at the show, but I'd rather see if I can generate a few bucks for the HAMB.

    So here it is.

The TWO top bidders get to join in on the fun.

It's a two day session so you need to be available for Saturday and Sunday.

You must be pre registered for Paso.

No tools are required or any special equipment.

We will be learning cuttin, shapin, mig AND hammer weldin, leanin the posts, and all the other good stuff ***ociated with choppin a top.

    But wait there's more . . .

Any out o state folks can crash at my place if you want.

There will be a big party at my place before the show.

    Lots of drinking. :)

    Lots of screaming.

    Lots of ***.

Wear what ever you want, it'll just be the two of us.

This especially goes for FuelPump, Fab32, Porkin******, JimC, the two Dirty's and of course the two ***iest gals on the HAMB, HotRodLadyCruiser and Nads.

    So Now what would you pay . . . . . .

Well Gene charges a few bills for just a one day and this is a two dayer so be generous. This is for the HAMB.

    Thanks for your support.

    Hope to see you there,

    Craig

Now my feelings are really hurt. And from a guy that looks an awful lot like Charls Manson, a known pillow biter.
So ok, bid a couple hundred dollers to NOT do me.
    Thats' fair . . .

The problem is, Gene makes his living selling this kind of training. You are asking him to give away quite a bit here.
I believe he has a video he used to sell, and for this exact reason he quit selling. Besides if anyone gets hurt following what they see on a Mad Fab DVD, they can sue Mad Fab for the pleasure.

Maybe they could make a deal directly with Gene. I have already used up a pretty good favor just to get him to do this.

It's also going to be covered by at least one Magazine, maybe two, and possibly a Discovery Channel kind of show.

Ok, I'm totally wacked for even thinking about this but I do have some vacation time coming. I wonder how much it would cost to fly out and back from Michigan.
I have always wanted to go to Paso, this would be a great oppotunity. Keep in mind I know nothing about body work but I do have a strong back and a weak mind. Most anyone that knows me can confirm that statement, at least the 2nd half.

    Shouldn't be too expensive.

FYI, it's about $450. for a round trip flight.
My wife said "....but you don't HAVE $450."
    Hmmmm, what can I sell?

How much is it to register for Paso?

Hey folks, remember, I got two spots to fill.
    Lets get bidding . . . . .
I can't believe you would spend more money on a magazine, than a chance to chop a top with the GeneMeister?

And where is Nads? I'm offering up some of the kinkiest *** he can afford!

Remember, bid high, and bid often . . .

I live in Atlanta, so I am not familiar with this show. Can someone tell me where this show is and when, or a website with that info. I ***ume it may be Paso robles, CA. Gene Winfield is truly one of the greats and I think this would be an honor. Distance and cost are certainly a factor, but I can't think of anything that would be more fun. Maybe, a couple of things but this would be at the top for sure. I truly admired the Monster Garage segment with Gene, Bill Hines and his son, **** Dean, and Norm "woo woo" Grabowski. No swearing, no whining, just some old guys doing what they loved and getting the job done. I know Gene, and Bill Hines and **** Dean were in the Autorama show with me in 1958 and were from my old stomping grounds in the Detroit area. I saw Bill again in this years Autorama and got his autograph and shook his hand. One of the nicest and humblest men that you would ever meet.
    Thanks for listening.

I've got nothing to show for Paso, but I live here. I certainly have a weak mind and a strong back, so I'm in if at all possible. I'll go 150.00 if I'm eligible.

I'm almost insulted at the question.

    You aren’t paying me anything.

You are donating to the HAMB.

Gene is going to be teaching just like he does at his place. HANDS ON.
Check this thread for some ideas.

Gene is a great guy to work with. And easy to learn from.

I ***ure you, nobody's paying anything just to hang out.

As long as you're registered for Paso, You're eligible. The fact that you are here on the HAMB and willing to go the $150 is enough for me.

I'm surprized more local guys aren't bidding.

I re-read my own post and I apologize. It does sound wrong. I forget people cant hear tones when reading but I meant the "pay to hang out part" sarcastic.

Once again I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I think it sounds kick-*** and am wondering why it has not brought more money.
