I have a 1957 GMC Deluxe and looking to purchase a period correct air under dash air conditioning unit. Does anyone have any info or pictures of one?

Dealer installed AC was an option on 59 chevy trucks, they used the Cool Pack unit similar to cars from that era.

Aftermarket add on AC was far more common. They changed style over the years, if you search you can probably find one from the 50s, they were usually bigger than later units.

I found a nice one out of a 57 Belaire but wasn't sure I had enough room under the dash for it.

I wouldn't think space would be a problem. The cowl/dash/floor area and spacing of the '57 p***enger car and truck are not that different. If anything, I'd think the truck might have a tad more verticle clearance than the car.
