Wife and I decided to go to Disneyland tomoorow. Will arrive late. I like Disneyland but I also like cars... so are there any cruising areas near there, (no car I'll walk) from Sunday to Thursday? Was going to drive down but time is ticking before schools back in.
There isn't much going on Harbor blvd, I live down the street from Disneyland. You'll want to stay north of Chapman ave. And south of ball rd. Past those streets nothing Disney about it. People usually cruise Beach blvd or PCH. But those arent in walking distance. The new Cars land at CA Adventure should be pretty interesting for you though.
Thanks for the advice. When you say, "nothing Disney about it" do you mean Kevlar is recommended? May take the bus up to the "In and Out" east of Disney and the "Bob's Big Boy" south of Disney.
Too bad you can't get to the Bob's Big Boy in Downey. LOVE THAT PLACE! Cars Land is a blast! Have fun!
If I rent a car I'll get there and possibly Petersen's. Is Downey very far from Disney? How are their burgers? I mean they will have to stack up to our "White Spot", "Wally's", and a few other local favourites!
Don't forget Mooneyes. Head on up to Downey for a delicious Big Boy burger for lunch, stop on by Mooneyes in Santa Fe Springs after and then on the way back, get a double double animal style at the In-N-Out near Disneyland for dinner. All that can be done in the afternoon. There's a few places near Disneyland where you can rent a car.
Haha, no vest needed but Anaheim has some police brutality protesters and other vices off harbor. There use to be a Bobs big boy off of Katella(same street disney is on) in Orange but it closed a few ago. Hope that wasn't the one you were planning on going to. The closest In n Out is a couple miles away off Orange Ave. and Brookhurst St. Be sure to order a 3x3 animal style burger and animal fries with a lemon-up. Amazing
no cruising in that area for a while. One of my faveroite bars is around the cornor Juke Joint if you like rockabilly music? and a cool art supplies store down the street from it to get all your pinstripping needs.
Damn it man! Now I'm hungry for some animal fries. I'm 3 hours away from the closest In-N-Out (Round Rock 2013!)
I was at a Bob's about three years ago that had just opened up in a little mall about a couple of miles south (?) of the pond. Is it still there?
There is a car show in uptown Whittier tomorrow. It's traditionally been pretty decent but I don't know what floats yer boat as far as cars go so...
that"s my hometown and without a car it's quite a bus ride from Dizzyland. Dude, you need a car here in SoCal.
When I went on a family holiday (by plane) to Diseyland a few yrs ago I rented a car. You gotta have a car in So Cal. Got to an Angels game, San Deigo (and Mission Beach, my favorite spot in So Cal), Huntington Beach, and some shopping places. I guess I was not in any "cruise" areas, but I only saw about 2 HAMB friendly cars in my travels...
here's a list of car shows going on this weekend (and the rest of the month). The Ford show in Anaheim is near Knotts Berry Farm. Click on the link http://www.socalcarculture.com/events.html If you can get to Uptown Whittier, you will enjoy the show. It's been hot here lately so be prepared and have fun.
Visit Jimmy White at Circle City Hot Rods in Orange. Jimmy is a helluva guy and always have great projects going on.
I'd hit the show in uptown Whittier, then Mooneyes in Santa Fe Springs - next town over. If you're still feeling squirrely, jump on the 60 and hit SoCal Speedshop in Pomona.
Leaving for the airport in an hour. I think I'll check out the Early Ford V8 Club off Orange tomorrow. Thanks for all the tips guys!
You were in Huntington Beach and you didn't go to DONUT DERILECTS at Adams and Magnolia on Saturday morning??? How about 300 HAMB friendly cars, trucks, pick-ups, etc.?
