Get on Cokers web site and you can view an example. Join the Alliance and save big $ on em from Coker. ~sololobo~
Well, no, you cant. Most of the photos on the coker website are not of the actual tires in question. for example, the tire in this photo is neither a blackwall, nor a 6.00x15. http://www.cokertire.com/600-15-bf-goodrich-blackwall.html
Wow, never thought of that. Thanks, I'll try it out. Just tried it, NFG. Same deal, takes you to all the coker images. Those pics on the coker website ARE NOT necessarily photos of the same tire you are buying. Thats the whole point of this exercise. See post #4. Guys, if you think you are seeing a pic of the same type of tire you are buying on the coker website, YOU ARE NOT. Look at the link I posted above, does that look like a blackwall to you? Does it even look like a 6.00x15?? Cause its not. If you doubt this, go to slmlrd's page and look at the tires on his plymouth. I want to see what these tires actually LOOK LIKE. not what a generic white wall that is kinda, sorta, roughly, maybe the same size, and has a kinda, maybe, sorta similar sidewall looks like.
This is not what you asked for but I'll note.....these are Coker G78-15 2 3/4 whitewalls. Less money.
Might not be of any help to you, but I've got the Firestone 6.00 x 16" radial (gasp! and on RED wheels too!) version on my '32 and they are really nice. In my experience Coker always has a quality product. The "reproduction" tires they sell are very true to the original appearance.
The 6.00x15 is the PERFECT size for what I need, I would still like to see a good clear close-up of what the sidewall looks like, if anyone can provide one. Yea, I know, I know, I am a picky PITA.
If you know an NSRA member, the last issue of their mag "streetscene" has the latest giveaway car on the cover. Inside with some nice shots of the Coker 16" radials on it. (Orange '32 three window) They look good but dont have the piecrust edges like Firestone and some other bias plys do.
I've pretty much decided I'll be going with these for fronts, based on slmlrd's photos, and the fact that they are about the ONLY period-correct 26" tall WWW 15" tire currently available. Still, if someone has a nice clear photo of what the sidewall looks like, it would be a big help. It would really help me with deciding on a set of rears.
Spend an extra buck or two and deal with Diamond Back Classics. You get exactly what you want, all made to order, and their tires dont yellow like the other guys.
