1950 Chevrolet Lowering

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Cheneyboro Kid, Aug 18, 2012.

  1. Need suggestions on lowering a stock 1950 chevy 3100 truck. What about just removing leaf springs? Thanks!

You can search and find lots of info, but here is a start www.droppedaxles.com There is a tech article for how to lower one with a dropped axle and removing leaves for reference. Sid is great to deal with if you use a dropped axle.

You do realize you have two threads going on the same subject?

  6. I will peobably go with a dropped axle later but I am currently replacing my shackle bushings and figured it would be a good time to take a few leafs out. I just didnt know the affects it would have. I know it will be a softer ride and lower it some but dont want a negative impact.
