1950 Chevy Truck (Lowering)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Cheneyboro Kid, Aug 18, 2012.

  1. I am wanting to lower my stock 1950 chevy truck. Can I just remove some of the leafs from the springs? I know I can buy a new drop axle but was just trying to see if removing a few of the springs would work ok. Will lowering affect the closed drive shaft? All input welcomed!

You can remove leaves and lower it but pretty soon they will look like this and don't have any travel.

With that setup and 195 14 tires on the front it sets like this.
