I really like the treatment given to this black '55. Also included shots of a highly customized green Bird (loosing its teeth) and a yellow '57 which is powered by a 430 Lincoln engine.

If you do build those I think you should buy alot of FLAKE for it, after all it is a 60's build!

I was gonna ask if anyone had a picture of Doane Spencer's and there it is, I'd seen that one more than once with Doane around town, that old man looked good in that car.

My t-bird in 1967 spent a lot of time on Bellflower blvd in the mid sixtys. Still have it today going thru a total make over. yes I took a lot of crap from the factory stock restorers.

I love all the baby bird pics with panel paint. Once you start replacing parts on one, you figure out that they are more or less just a full size Ford that has been sectioned and shortened so most of the customizing has been done. Wheels, some rake and paint are great additions.

I remember seeing a tube axle baby bird somewhere on this site that I loved. If I had the pic of it I would post it to this thread.

...and I love that long roof bird a few posts back.

Anyone remember a two-seat 'Bird called the Spinster? It was largely reskinned in '63 Ford panels - I saw a build-up article in R&C around '67 about it, maybe a Winfield job? Is it still around?

If you do avoid thwe severe chop. If you build it like the back angle shot it will rule. Reminds me of the Mustang wagon.
There is a early 70s 2door 'bird wagon somewhere, usta have pics but cant find'em no more.

Think i kno this car, but any fnt shots?

  13. Wasn't it the Predicta that started out as a '56 T-bird? I have a 'before' pic of it I posted here once and it looked like a giant took a big bite out of the body, the whole right side was gone from front wheel to back including half the cowl.

Tell folks you were going to clone that, changed your mind, but enough nasty comments and you'll do it anyways just for spite.

the thing is, there's a company that reproduces the 55 and 57..classic motorsports? first gen Corvettes, too. I could look it up.

point is, get one and hack it up. Problem solved :)

    these all from riksters site...

I think early t birds should be customized... I don't care for them in stock form.

would be awesome to see someone recreate the first version of the predicta...

  19. I think the problem with the little T-Bird and the early Corvette is the same as with the first couple of Buick Riveras.....they are so spot on in styling that its hard to improve on them. Most people end up just changing them to look different, not to look any better.

    Very Nicely Done!
If you are looking to pull colors/shade/details out of a picture use a polarizing filter on your lens. -The polarizing filter is best used in early or late day light as it allows you to cancel/control the amount of reflected light that comes off of things like paint, glass and chrome. It will do wonders for that hazy sky and washed out cloud cover too.

The one with the crazy panel/flame paint was bilt by Erikson, bad ass vert. Its now in Sweden.
Im rather sure the gold one is from the Indianapolis Road ROckets, and that is what a 6os style 'bird should look like...maybe a tad lower tho
