    good day,
i live in middle tennesssee and i have most of my parts rounded up for a model a
rod build. i have it jiged up with a quick change rear (by the way thanks hambers for the help) and was wondering, do i need to get the front axle located before i square and weld the rearend mounts or vise versa. i also need advice on steering, type box, steering rods, and what kind of caster to set the caster to. looks like i'm going to have 118" wheelbase, is this to long ?
    thanks to all.....

Summertown? That's just down the road from Columbia. Give me a PM, and I'll come over one weekend and give you some tips. 118" in ok W.b. try to set the front and rear suspensions up at the same time, with the tires and wheels, you want, and ride hight. Try for 6-8 deg positive caster. I am using a 65 Mustang box, flipped on it's side for drag link steering. Looking forward to meeting you. Sparky:D

  6. Dont use the stock A forntend, it wont handle the wieght and will break.

I used a 53-4 Merc/Ford box. Fits real nice, isnt cookie cutter and turns well too.
I used 40 Ford split bones and inserted and welded the A yokes to them.
