That car did everything they set out to do, INCLUDING the shock value. It's actually funny how some of the g***er wannbe looking cars create so much flame in here at times, but that one was built with a purpose in mind...and it worked. I wonder if it was as unstable as it looked.

  5. Well I'm really pissed about the picture quality. As if yours are not as good as everyone else's. ;)

Thanks for posting one of my favorite cars since I was a kid.

Highlander it was probably a handfull for sure. I think it actually ran altered cl*** as opposed to gas coupe/sedan. I could be wrong.

I never really paid much attention but it appears as though the plenum is bolted together I'm sure it has got to be welded but it appears to be bolted. Something else I never noticed before it has a cable throttle.

  6. is that the original car? thanks for the pics, would be great top see that one scooting down the track.

Here's a pretty good article on the High & Mighty II.
I think this article is the one that mentions the fact that they found the original intake and put it on the car.

Those are pics of the Replica.

I think they did use the original tunnelram, which was still around.

Its pretty easy to tell which one is which, because the taper on the megaphones is different.

The originals were made by calculating the lengths and taper of the megaphones ( and the pipes themselfs )

I believe they used formulas that came from what the Brits used on Norton racing bikes.

    Some pics for comparison...

Look at the offset on the rear wheels and they fit under the fenders (when it had them installed). Narrowed rearend?
