I'm thinking of using an S10 frame under my '39 Chevy sedan because I don't have a frame under it at the moment. I can get an S10 frame for a lot cheaper than a '39 frame. So that's why. That and I'm broke and want to drive my car rather then have it garage art.

Not that my opinion counts or was even asked for but the first picture makes me want to puke. The second is a traditional wanna be (still not cutting it in my book). The third picture....does anyone have a match?

 

So he is building a peice of **** s-10 out of a 39 sounds to me like he just wants to build a car in his budget that he can drive the wheels off of. I realize an open driveline and modern suspension and brakes HIDDEN under a big bodied car is a sin.

He's been here since 2002,back when some stuff was accepted until us newbies came and paid 50 bucks and instantly felt we had the right to bash everyone.
He has been looking for a frame since 2006,,,and he has a valid point...he has no stock frame,,,so why not give a try with the S10?
I think people who have a stock frame and still want to use an s10 have no reason to.
They make BOLT IN parts for those stock frames..
frame swaps are NOT what hot rodding is about,,its about doing what yagotta do...IMSO
