Wanna put the subframe together so I can free up the model a frame for a customer project and was wondering if the subrail dimensions were the same from a 30 ford coupe and a 30 roadster.
The door sills are differient lengths . The roadster doors, are several inches shorter than the coupe doors making the distance from from the rear of the door (or B pillar in the coupes case) to the rear wheelwell several inches longer. The coupe also has a wider cross channel at the front of the seat.
Yeah I have coupe subrails and broke the new channels to the coupe size . What I'm wondering is if the distance between the subrails is the same. First channel is 31 inches 2nd channel is 35 7/16th 3rd channel is 35 3/8th . These are the dimensions I am looking for but for a coupe. These measurements are from the edge of the pad that the subrail channels rivet to
These are the dim's on my coupe. First channel is 31", 2nd channel is 35 1/8" and the 3rd channel is 36 1/4". The first and 2nd channel appear to be original but the 3rd channel is gone. I'd say you're good to go!!! Just for grins the dim between the inside front edges of my B pillars at the top of the subrail is 41 1/8"
