I think a T bucket should look "light" in the front. I'm not usually a big fan of wires, but in this case, I think the new wheels make the front look a little "heavy". I think I actually prefer the wires.

Flip a coin...it came up wires!

Both look good, so if you like you can change up from time to time.

3. I'd like it more if the rears matched the front. But I do like it...

I really like the wires better.

I agree those slot wheels are now fighting each other.

I like the 10 spokes for second place and maybe matching halibrands all around for third, but it would be cheapest just to put the wires back on and call it cool!

7. You could always go with chrome reverse and baby moons.......

8. Rather way I recon but if I really had to take a pick would say the e/Ts they look cool

Im with this guy, and I would change the air cleaner to something closer to the size of the single carb. Current one looks like an umbrella to me.

That said, its a real nice bucket you have there

you put Halibrands on it and people are complaining? Hell yes keep the Halibrands! Get a bit narrower pair to match the rear and throw some Hurst Cheaters on them and the world will be whole. Those E.T. FAKE bolt on ten or twelve spoke need to be dumped into the deepest part of any of the oceans...You can see they are fakes from outer space! Now, find a pair of original American twelves... That's a WAY different story! Or, step for the Raider spindle mount 18" versions. I would also second doing something with the tunnel ram. Maybe two fours on an Edelbrock low rise manifold?

Put a set of Hals on the rear, and ditch the tunnel ram for either a low rise 2 4bbl setup, or a blower.

In both, the tires look too heavy, tall and wide. My only objection to the second set of wheels is the style is close enough to matching, that the finishes should also be the same. If you choose ET G***ers, the finish should match the rear wheels.

I still feel sick over the whole ordeal.

The goal was to improve the rusty wires. I sold all of it off.

Now I just want to match the period and finish of the rest of the car.

Still thinking....I want to keep the rears, and the new brakes. Just new front wheels maybe....

21. I'm a ****er for Halibrands. And I think they would look great if you matched up the rears like 'need louvers ?' said.

NasT.....my two cents....I couldn't find what period or style of "T" you were after? In my opinion that has to be the first, and last thought about anything you put on or in your ride. Because parts are cool or you just like them doesn't guarantee that they will improve the over all aesthetic of one's car. I think one has to start at the front and keep the same concept all the way to the back. Some may not agree but that's my opinion. Decide what your after and then do what ever it takes to reach that goal. You asked for help and that's the answer I would give you if we were talking over beers.

23. ^^^^x2! Parts from different eras are going to look out of place.
Centerlines might look great on your bucket, but they would look out of place on my 47 tudor.
You need to pick a point in time. 70's, 80's whatever.

24. I do like your Rod. the good and bad things about buckets is nothing hides. every single part is open to inspection.

my T-bucket was 40 years ago. I didn't like gl*** cars back then but it was my only car at the time and driving 500 miles a day on trips was not uncommon. the reason I sold mine (traded for a 4 wheel drive truck) was it needed a complete make over to be as cool as the nine million other gl*** T's running around So. Cal at the time.:D

Absolutely the truth! That's why so many are picking on your tunnel ram, it's just a little out of place. I felt the same way about your car as hotrod32 where I just can't quite put my finger on it's date in time. Making the changes I suggested would move it strongly into a more H.A.M.B. friendly era. By pulling the wires off the front, you took the first step on backdating the car out of the seventies and eighties, and headed it back to the sixties. Now there is a bit more work to finish the job. As I suggested before, 15X8 Halibrands and some 29-30" tall Hurst cheaters would do wonders for the profile.

Never did like Pro street tires on the backs of "T"s.

Remember, it's your car, do what makes you happy, but in my opinion your almost there.

Ok, as Hotrd32 pointed out to me the aesthetics of these cars differ from mine. Era is hard to find on mine as well.

<O:pBut, this is what I was shooting for. profile wise. The cars below. One is a HAMB car the other maybe too streetrodder for here.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
I think my tire size is way too big. 165R15.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
I really don’t want wires. But, not sure the solid is working either.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
Short of buying all new wires and brakes. I’m thinking shine up the backs a bit more with a polished ET G***er and a 145 R15 tire.<O:p</O:p

Now, who wants to buy my Hal's?? :)

Thank you. Contemplating a set of wannabe 10 spokes for a set of skinny Hals just isn't computing for me.

I'd go for a late 60's early 70's thing and run a set of M&H slicks and maybe a set of LARGE window Halibrands.

Yessssss
