Hi, Phill's my name, I joined years ago and then forgot about it. A few months ago when I went to join I found out that I already had.
This is our 1928 Model A Sport Coupe as we purchased it. It was originally built in the late 70's as a resto rod, 351Cleveland, Toploader, Jag rear, 4 bar front, Tru-spokes and diamond studded velvet upholstery. We purchased it in late 1981, drove it for about a year then pulled it down to do a rebuild that though one excuse after another that don't seem important today took until early 2003 to put back on the road.

It was put back on the road with a 2 1/2 in chop, had made steel top, 351C, T5, 9in
rear with 4 link and air bags and a dropped 34 front axle and 4 bar.

    We did some racing

Over the last 9 years we have driven 50,000 miles all over Australia and have kept upgrading it.
    The body work is nearing completion and the specifications are as follows;

351 Cleveland Nascar block stroked to 393
    CHI 2V alloy heads
Extreme energy comp cams solid roller
Aussie made TFC single plane air gap intake manifold
    750 cfm Edelbrock
    Tremec TKO600 trans
    3.9 lsd 9in

Future plans are to complete the body work and fit an 8 stack EFI induction system.

We have just started the rebuild of a 1955 ford Countyr Squie 8 passenger wagon. This was imported about 1 year ago.

My wife and I are 2 weeks from starting a 4 week holiday in the US.

Our driving trip will start and finish in Los Angeles and include Denver CO, Lincoln NE, Kansas City KS, Detriot MI, Niagra falls, Washington DC, Atlanta GA, New Orleans LA, San Antonio TX, Phoenix but may change a litttle as we go.

We will be looking for parts for the Squire Wagon and Model A parts.

    Thanks for listening
    Phill.

Thanks all. The original color was used here in about 1984 on a Toyota Corona. We had a lighter blue as well. When I had it mixed in 2 pack about 10 years ago it was a bit bright so I mixed in 1:1 color and flatner.
    Thanks Phill.

Welcome aboard, you just have to love a car that will stand up for you

  9. Welcome Phill! I'm relatively new to the H.A.M.B, but have a reason to post more on here...last night I became the proud new owner of a 28/29 Sport Coupe body! It comes home to the garage very soon, and this winter we will start building it! I cannot wait! Your car is freakin sweet!!! Love it! And have a great time in the States!

Thanks for your coments. In Australia we only had Sport Coupes in Model A, 32 and very early 33. Ford here didn't think we needed 5 windows until early in the 33 run and didn't bother with 3 windows at all. If you build yours as a Sport Coupe make a steel or alloy top and cover it. My old soft top came down round my ears once at a bit over 100mph, used to flap a bit to.
