Hey guys. Allow my self to introduce.....myself. My name is Joey. Im 30, married with a new baby boy and I live in Phoenix. I come from a long line of non-mechanic, non-car guys who never taught me anything. I got my first job as a lot boy on a pot lot when I was 16. 2 years later I moved to their bigger lot and became a grease monkey. Did that for 2 years and then made it to a new car dealership where I ran the quick service as a lead tech for about 6 years before I left to fix appliances. My dad is the reason I got into cars. He is a pin striper. but not paint. He does vinyl work for most of the major car lots in the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas. He has been doing it for about 23 years. He also does a lot of other things like chrome packages and nerf bars and stuff, the stuff dealerships use to hide your negative equity. Anyways, he is by no means into customizing or restoring vehicles. Since he does dealership work its all about the newest model. But he did get me my first job. Which led to me meeting a lot of really good and really smart technicians who race, restore and build their own cars. and I have been doing it ever since. As far as traditional rides, this will be a first. I have had imports, bagged and body dropped trucks, diesels and everything else. But nothing like my current project. And the reason I am here. I just got myself a 1950 Chevrolet sport coupe deluxe. and I plan on making it my own. So... here is the before pic. And we will see where it goes from here.
Welcome and that car is sweet from the start. I'd be happy just boppin' around in it as is with some Slim Whitman on the radio.
Im not sure, altered stance, 12v conversion, some interior issues that need to be addressed i kinda want to throw on a set of supremes too
