33 ford pickup on 32 rails..possiable? pics

    howdy from New Mexico i was wondering if you guys might know if a 33 ford truck body would fit on a 32 frame. if so what type of modifications were need..if any at all. also is there any pics out there of this combo.

    Yes you can put a 33 on 32 rails. The biggest difference between the two is the firewall.

    32s have a detatchable firewall like the 32 p***enger cars. 33s and 34s have a firewall that extends into the engine compartment a couple more inches and it's spot welded to the cowl.

    Depending on what kind of engine you run, you may have to put a reccess in the firewall, or you could probably move the cab back a couple inches if needed.

    I own a '32 pickup with '33 cab. Everything fits, even the protruding firewall.
    Beds can likely be interchanged with some work--they are the same basic dimensions, but holes and moldings for fender are farther back on '33=4 because of longer wheelbase.

    thanks bruce. if i run it fenderless, doe the body line up with the frame or does it protrude out p*** the frame?
