Been lurking for a little while now and decided to finally join. What a great site! Seems to be a lot of great people sharing their knowledge and their builds. I don't currently have a Rod but I hope to find a 55-59 Chevy truck or 54-56 Ford truck to build down the road (Preferably a 58-59 Apache). I have always been into cl***ic cars & trucks but never had the opportunity own one. Living in the mountains of Colorado with lots of snow and only being able to drive one a couple months out of the year has put it on the back burner. So instead I have been focused on re-building a wrecked Jeep over the last couple years. Now that my Jeep is capable and at a good point in the build I am looking forward to finding another project. Here are a couple before and after shots of the Jeep.
Welcome from Aurora...so where exactly is it that you live that you'd only be able to drive a cl***ic a "couple of months out of the year." I've driven my cl***ic over Vail in April heading to Moab in a snowstorm...got caught in snow a couple times coming back from there. I've never been to many places in ColoRODo's mountains that are snowbound 10 months of the year...!!! R-
Hey from aurora also! Whats up guys? New here from florida, wanting to get into the local stuff, got a 62 f-100...
I now a guy in frederick that has a buch of apachies, about those years, hes a huge chevy guy and might have what your looking for for projects
Thanks! I live near Vail and yes there are days throughout the winter that I could probably drive a cl***ic....but the majority of the winter is snowy not the best road conditions. We are not snowbound 10 months out of the year, but a good 6 months of the year the chances of snow are likely and there is snow on the ground. Not saying it can't be done or I wont drive a cl***ic in the winter, I just decided to build a Jeep before pursuing a cl***ic build.
Welcome! Im not too far from you. Grew up in the breckenridge area and now live in georgetown. Message me if you ever want to go wheel or talk about hot rods! We have a pretty good crew of jeeps and always need more.
Thanks! Georgetown is not too far! I will hit you up if I ever make it over that way. Jeep and Rods...it sounds like we have a lot in common!
