12v tach/dwell in a 6v car

    Will my ****og 12v tach/dwell meter work in my 6v car? Tryin to dial it in and want accuracy.

    i have been told it will if you hook the power up to a 12 volt battery, however it didn't on mine. if you get a spark checker light you hook up to the plug you can turn it slowly by hand and get it just as good as a timing light. you always tweek a litttle after it's running anyway. good luck.

    What brand? I used an old Sears one my Dad has. It worked on a 6 volt positive ground with no problems or changes to it, but I guess it could vary by brand and model.
