I have a 51 F1 with the original V8 flathead and 3 speed manual transmission in it. Does a shifter exist that I can use to change it from 3 on the tree to a 3 on the floor vehicle
    Thanks,

Hurst used to make (and maybe still does) a universal 3 spd floor shifter kit that you can use to convert that truck to a floor shift. Try a google or HAMB search, I know there are quite a few threads about it. I used one in my '51 F-1 when I replaced the 4 spd NP-435 with a 3 spd + OD. The bad part was the shift lever mounted to the side of the tailshaft and was not in as convient of location as the 4 spd top shifter.

    Good Luck.

I'll check in to the Hurst possibility, and thanks for your response, I appreciate it very much.

change your transmission to a factory 3-speed w/shifter on the floor. they are plentiful and cheap because they are being replaced with T5 5speed transmissions...jack
