I used a Black plastic bicycle water bottle. Lousy color for a drinking bottle, unless it's to keep your tea hot. Works great and fairly incon****uous under a hood. I drilled out the "******" and stick the overflow hose in it to the bottom. I cut the end of the hose on a slight angle so it can recover fluid without just suctioning itself to the bottom of the bottle.
On my convertible, I use a tank from a Ford Ranger pickup, from the early 90's. It also has the washer tank in the same unit. I used this because the vert had factory windshield washers on the car. This whole setup works great
We used to grab anything out of a junk car as well. Almost always free and easy enough to adapt in. On the stock cars, we'd use gallon cans, the type with the screw on lids. Bob
I used a small propane bottle. A piece of brake line was routed downward from the vent hole after this pic was taken. Disclaimer: This thing had been laying around empty for years... but there is ALWAYS a chance that some residual fuel is still in there!
An expansion tank for my 27. It's made from a fuel pressure reservoir off a Huey and mounts on the spring hanger for the front suicide axle on my Modified using airframe clevis joints from a DC3. It's fitted with a Stant cap and Moon direct temp gauge. After polishing Before
Window washer tank for mine.... One from a 2000 F150 holds a gallon,.... And so does a Prestone container...... A G.I canteen would be different........Likin' the Moon tank ! 4TTRUK
I used a brush stainless steel water bottle. You can just see it here in the pic. Paid $3.57 on clearance. Those fire extinguishers are outstanding!
Mine, made from aluminum electrical conduit. I had endcaps tigged on and then turned the whole thing in the lathe to give it a finished look. It holds about a pint. Blue
I don't have a picture but I use a modern plastic Ford tank but instead of putting it under the hood I hid it behind the front bumper on the bumper brackets. I can check it easy and it's out of the way.
Monster BFC energy drink can. 32oz I think, going on 5 years now. For a reliable driver, at least a quart capacity, but you only NEED half of that. It has to puke out and **** back in, so it must be vented.
