Hey y'all, havin' a bit of a problem getting the torque tube on this '47 Buick to seat flush with the back of the trans. We're swapping rear ends from an automatic car for better driveablility. Whole thing went relatively well until I stabbed the torque tube input shaft into the rear of the trans. Goes about halfway in and stops about 1 1/2 inches short of mating to the flange.

    Any ideas?

Little bit of an update for ya, maybe someone will chime in with some help; Decided to remove the rear end and torque tube to see what the hell is holding the input from going into the trans, and wouldn't you know it.....the input splines seem to be STUCK in the rear of the trans. Won't come out. The original one slid right out, the replacement is being a pain in the **** to remove.

Any ideas guys, this is taking WAYYYYY to damned long to swap out.
