might have a chance to pick up a 68-72 chevy suburban. it is a one owner pretty clean truck. when i first saw it i thought it would make a killer push truck. i would like to see if anyone has any pics of suburban push trucks that are lettered up. i think it would be cool to get it and have it all lettered up, and pull my buddies chassis research FED clone around. lets see some pics!!!!
Not to 'rain' on your enthusiasm, but the cut off date is an issue. BUT! There may be a thread already out there covering a general term -push truck-. Hey, a '68 with a tough rake, deep (really deep) dish slots would rule. 401 Nailhead power. No '' patina'd' door logos neither. F r e s h shiny paint.
i know the date of the truck is bit new and OT, but there are plenty of pictures with 60s- newer trucks pushing off FEDs, sprint cars, or LSR cars. thats the point. i dont want pics of a custom suburban , just an old lettered up push truck. hell it doesnt even have to be in that year range. just a suburban push truck also i searched here, other sites, and google images and have not found anything. so asking for a specific style was the next best option in my opinion
I have a 63 sub and looking ideas for paint the above have cool any shots of sides of this max cool sub
Hell mike you got the vision, just do it brother.. I use my 64 F-100 as a push truck, ask John he has seen it, or well seen me trashing on it down at Bowling Green to get it ready for the cacklefest, as the generator took shit right before we where to push off. We made the show in last minute fashion like always.... Ryan
Funny that you ask. I posted questions about this with no replies. My '52 burb has very faded stickers in the window that say Mason Dixon Race O way. Cleaning it out I found small plaques that were from Mason Dixon Raceway. Here are some picks. Notice the mods on the front bumper and towing add ons. I am dying to find any pictures from back in the day.
well i bought the suburban, i know it is off topic for this site, but it is pretty close and should kinda fit in. like that weird cousin lol. going to Dan Shaw to be lettered up in a couple weeks, i am sure it will turn out killer. already made the push bumper, and looking to get some full moon discs for the wheels.
Looks good, you should post it over on 67-72chevytrucks.com the guys will love it over there. Im building a 69 panel truck that I would like to use for a push truck, but its off topic for this place ... Maybe someday Ill sneak a picture of it in pushing someone old ride at Bonneville =)
