Heat Choke Help

Alright fellas, i have a 2barrel rochester carb on a 350 chevy about 1977 vintage, it is a crate motor but that should help atleast ID it. Well the carb has the heat choke, and pull off mechanisms but no choke tube or place to locate it. I have seen them go from choke to intake maifold (where I have a block off) and have also seen them go down to the rams horn exhaust manifolds, (mine has lake headers) So, does anyone have any advice or pics on how or where is best to run the heat tube? I have a HELP replacement heat tube kit, but seems fairly basic. Or is all of this a waste of time and should I just convert it to electronic?
