I know less than zero about tig welding, can anyone tell me what exactly I have here? I am certain this stuff is realitively old, is it feasible to build a tig set up around this? What else is missing??

the board is having some technical problems right now, my guess is that picture uploading might not be working for a while.

You have a watercooled tig torch - gas regulator and a foot pedal for amperage control. And yes those are all parts used for a tig welder and they are not all that old.

You've got the accessories you need to tig weld but no welder.

  15. Missing the tip parts on the torch....but that can be bought easy enough...

I am ***uming the one on the left is the water cooled torch and the one one the right is not?
PnB - any old stick welder will allow me to plug in the footcontrol, torch, etc. ??

The torch with the 2 large br*** fittings (one for gas, one for water) appears to be w/c.

No, the power source needs to be configured to use the foot control. But the torch can be used w/o the foot control, on any power source, you just wont have infinate amperage control as with the foot pedal.

so if I used the torch on the left with an ac/dc stick welder power unit I would have a "scratch" start type set-up, correct? And like you said I wouldn't be able to adjust the amperage...

You'll also have to turn the purge gas on/off manually. Sell the stuff you have or keep it for spares and buy a 200 Miller ( Lincoln if you prefer)

Went down the same route, gave up and bought a complete tig setup, best money I spent. YMMV
