Hello, I am Shane. I like to drive old Fords: My 1964 Fairlane 500, 289 (bought it with 32k miles) My '64 Galaxie with the Big Block ready to go in. I also dabble with bicycles. The reason I come tho, is a 1955 Studebaker truck I bought. I am looking for a car forum home, I LOVE Ratrodbikes and want to find a group of guys similar but with the focus on cars instead. I like old cars, my daily driver is a '64 Fairlane it has 50k miles on it and is in GREAT condition, when I got it I had to change the original belts and hoses, it had 32k miles and was on the second set of tires. I feel like I cant do anything to this car because to customize it or alter it would be criminal. I bought a '55 Stude Truck and it needs everything redone. For the first time I want to make a car my own way. I want to so small mods in a way to compliment the car on a subtle level. I like the late 50's to mid 60's style. I have a ford 302 ready for action and an '89 Dodge Dakota frame that matches up perfectly. The real question I have is: Is this a place for me? I want to fit in and contribute while learning, but I don't wanna be the guy that has the build that "doesn't fit" or that gets shunned for using a newer frame. Not that I am worried about my feelings I just don't wanna waste yer time or mine. Tell me what you think. (Regardless of the outcome I love the forum and have already learned a ton.)
This is the place no doubt! I used to live in the Dirty Curry, on Wallace. Is the Prince lounge still open! Small world huh!? But yeah, this site is the best I have found and has the largest collection of old gear heads (the ones who know their $hit) as wall as the usual smarts a$$es AND dumb-***es blended in for comic relief. Post some pics of you studi in a new thread in the General Discussion section so we can bounce a few ideas off you. Welcome to the H.A.M.B.! Steve

Oops, sorry about the double post. Just THINKING about the Dirty Curry made my freakin' hand twitch! lol!
It is a small world. The Prince Lounge closed a few years back and has been occupied by a string of unsuccessful businesses since then. I'll throw a post up in General Discussion shortly.
