I bought a car with a beede speedo, it has the electric wiring from the trans with a red, white and black wire, where do they go on the gauge? What else wires up to this thing?... Any help would be greatly appreciated, I think there are 6 post
Red is 12v White is signal or sig Black is ground Hook all of those to your gauge at the appropiate posts, they should be marked. You will need a 12v and ground for the guage as well. I try to separate the hot and ground wires for the speedo from the other guage wires, in other words don't just daisy chain them all together, it helps prevent electrical interference.
Beede gauges are first-class, I have used them in constuction equipment, motorhomes, aircraft, boats and hot rods. You can rest easy because Beede is "old-school Yankee quality." It may not be a bad idea to contact them up in New Hampshire and get the schematics for your set.
